Where is The World Famous Venice Barbershop?
We're located at 1527 Pacific Ave, Venice, CA 90291, in Venice Beach, Los Angeles, right next to the Venice sign where Windward Avenue meets Pacific Avenue. The boardwalk is a block away, and Abbot Kinney Boulevard is about a 10-minute walk.
Do you take walk-ins?
We’re appointment only, so your barber is ready for you the minute you walk in. You can book online any time, or call the shop at 310-984-8006. We chose appointment-only on purpose, so nobody waits in line and nobody gets rushed out of the chair.
How much is a haircut?
Every service and its price is listed on our booking page, so you can see exactly what you're getting before you choose a time. Each visit starts with a consultation, and you can add a complimentary hot towel, massage, or a beer if you're 21 or over.
Is there a barbershop near Abbot Kinney Boulevard?
Yes, The World Famous Venice Barbershop is about a 10-minute walk from the north end of Abbot Kinney Boulevard, at 1527 Pacific Ave next to the Venice sign, so it's easy to pair a cut with lunch or shopping on the boulevard.
Do you do fades?
Yes, fades and tapers are a big part of what we do. Every one starts with a conversation about how your hair grows and how you wear it, so the fade suits your head shape and keeps looking good as it grows out.
Do you cut long hair?
Yes, we cut longer hair as well as short styles, and we'll tell you straight whether keeping your length or going shorter makes more sense for your hair. Bring a photo if you have a look in mind.
Do you do beard trims?
Yes, beard work is one of our specialties. We shape the lines and blend the beard into your haircut so it stays clean as it grows. You can book a beard trim on its own, with a head buzz, or together with a Gentlemen's Haircut.
Where can I get a straight-razor shave in Venice Beach?
Right here at 1527 Pacific Ave. The World Famous Hot Towel Experience is our traditional straight-razor shave, with hot towels to soften the beard and a close, careful pass with the razor, and it's one of the services we're best known for.
I'm visiting Venice Beach. Can I get a haircut while I'm here?
Yes, and we're easy to find: look for the Venice sign over Windward Avenue in Venice Beach, Los Angeles, and we're right next to it at 1527 Pacific Ave. Book online before you head over so your barber is ready for you, and the boardwalk, Muscle Beach and the canals are all within walking distance afterward.
