The World Famous Venice Barbershop was made by Venice. It’s part of the neighborhood’s story, and we add to that history every day. Everyone’s welcome. We don’t see clients, we see friends and family.
We’re the professional grooming tailors of Venice Beach. Every visit is more than a haircut. It’s world famous because it’s all about the experience.

Questions we get asked
Do you take walk-ins?
We’re appointment only, so your barber is ready for you the minute you walk in. You can book online any time, or call the shop at 310-984-8006.
Do you cut kids hair?
We do, and kids book the same way adults do. Grab a time online and bring them by.
Where should I park?
There’s metered parking on Windward Ave and on the streets around the shop. If you’d rather skip the meter, the side streets around 313 Grand Blvd usually have free parking, and from there it’s an easy five-minute walk up to the shop. I’ve always enjoyed that walk up toward the beach, and it’s a nice way to see a bit of Venice before your cut.
How far do you travel for house calls?
House calls cover about 15 miles from the shop, which takes in Santa Monica, Brentwood, the Palisades, Beverly Hills and most of the Westside. If you’re farther out, call us and we’ll work out the trip together.
I’m not sure what to do with my hair. Can you help?
That’s what most people want to talk about when they sit down. We’ll go over the new styles you’ve been thinking about, whether going shorter or keeping your length makes more sense for your hair, and the best way to cut it so it works with how it grows. If you’ve seen a cut you like, bring a photo and we’ll tell you straight how it’ll work on you.

Find us in Venice Beach
The World Famous Venice Barbershop is at 1527 Pacific Ave in Venice Beach, Los Angeles, right next to the Venice sign where Windward Avenue meets Pacific Avenue. Coming from the boardwalk, walk up Windward toward the sign and you’ll find us a few steps away, and from Abbot Kinney Boulevard it’s about a 10-minute walk.
There’s metered parking on Windward Ave and on the streets around the shop. If you’d rather skip the meter, the side streets around 313 Grand Blvd usually have free parking, and from there it’s an easy five-minute walk up to the shop. I’ve always enjoyed that walk up toward the beach, and it’s a nice way to see a bit of Venice before your cut.
The public beach lot at the end of Venice Boulevard is about a 9-minute walk, and if you’re taking a rideshare, ask to be dropped at Windward and Pacific, under the Venice sign.
